Hi Mike >Steve I think Nick is right on this. The higher prices have been going on for a >year or so and the increases keep coming. As one of those contributing to this >"sheer madness" you are just going to have to accept that you are a wealthier >man than you thought you were. :)) you know honestly i am not happy about these "over the top" prices i never plan on selling so the fact that they are worth more has no meaning for me you can tell from my tone when i point out these auctions that i am not pleased the reason is,i would like many more people to get interested in the old computers, but with prices like this how many can buy one? perhaps you and me and other old foggies( :) ) but i would like to see younger collector's enter our hobby with the pc sofware chess market, anyone with a computer and $30 in their pocket can get a strong chess opponent.so this is where everyone interested in chess will flock most real collector's now are a group of middle age men with some money to burn which is not good for the future of it one thing i will say in our favor.. most collector's i know are very honorable men and very trustworthy there a few younger men who have entered our hobby as of late that are without honor and are only interested in buying a computer to turn a profit Congratulations >for raising the lions share of that donation, and setting a superb example to >everyone. thanks Mike last year we helped seriously or terminally ill children its a nice thing to be a part of annually > >As for the new development. I am on board ;) :)) good man! Steve
