>What is the rarest dedicated chess computer? Is it the Boris Handroid as listed >on Kurts site or maybe the Novag Robot (with or without wonky arm) or perhaps >somthing else? well that all depends on the type of collector you are the Handroid was never released for sale and only two prototpyes are known to exist some collectors modify a computer (overclocking,or put in porcessors that were not factory authorized)and they consider these very rare an example of this would be the Elite A/G version 11 as a collector i am only mainly interested in computers actually released for sale and in their factory authorized original condition there are some very rare computers that were released for sale that are not even listed on Kurt's site an Example of this would be the Applied Concepts(Sandy) TSB IV La Regence another.. the Arb Table, which had all four Arb modules(2.5,3.0,3.5 and 4.0) inbedded into a beautiful wooden table with the computer built in i think about 5 of these were released for sale..one of them being sold to the German Chancellor at that time as far as the ones listed on Kurt's site..there is a numbering system Kurt employed to try to rate the rarity so the first computer you see..the rarest..the last one you see..the least rare Best Steve > >Clive
