h4 looks silly there I agree.  After h3 it looks ugly but are things so bad for
white?

But previously, instead of playing games with 25.Rc5 simply 25.Rfd1 looks more
sensible.  Then 25...Rd8 of course when black can try either 26. Qe2 or 26.h3.
In either case the d-file control looks temporary.

Ah, but does that make them objectively any worse?
