Hi Alan, I do not own a DGT board but from what I have read it is an overpriced tool to record games. And it is good at that. The move recognition problem has been there from the start. Specially can be problematic when the moves are made quickly. Since it has no lights on it you have to look at the screen or try to listen to the voice announcement. if I am doing that might as well play on a regular chessboard and do the moves manually. pain in blitz but in log time controls does not bother me. I got a Saitek Autobord which is a smaller version od DGT with no bells and whistles. but it has lights on the squares. The problem is very few programs support it mainly old versions of rebel for dos (mainly buggy if I switch sides and turn the board around) Chess Genius 3.0 is the only program works with it perfectly. As for your DGT I am assuming you are using chessbase with it. you might want to try different drivers for the board if any are out there. Good luck Murat...
