I think that almost every program does it.

I will be surprised if fritz does not see mate in 4 that is series of checks in
6 plies.

I think that selectivity 0 means no pruning but it does not mean no extensions.
comparing engines based on fixed depth is simply wrong and I guess that many
engines that are weaker than fritz6 on equal hardware may beat it at fixed
depth.
