I just ried analyzing a game in the "Full Analysis" mode with Gandalf 6 UCI as the analyzing engine. I noted that for every variation it delivers as a recoomendation, it ends it with an annotation sign of "=" for evaluation. However, many of the variations that end this way are really very much not =; they are sometime evaluated numerically as anthing but equal, for example +7. I do not get the same effect with Fritz 8, or Shredder 8 (native) - the evaluation delivered is always correct. Is this a problem with Gandalf 6, or is it a problem with UCI implementation in Chessbase GUI?
