When I get home tonight I will delete most if not all messages related to thisthread. Peter was able to express his views and the authors were able to post their replies. All of this , perhaps could have been handled in private e-mail , but it wasn't and it appears the subject is now close. There is no question, in my mind, that the authors of Arena do not want Arena on Peter Skinner's website. I think those wishes should be followed. I do appreciate the Crafty files that Peter has hosted on his website and for that he is to be commended. In my own personal opinion and derived from posts I have read by the authors, Arena is steadlily moving towards commercialization of their product and I believe if that is the case, they should respect charter of CCC and not make repeated yet similiar posts regarding Arena and it new website and , new versions , etc., that are really not readily available for most users unless they decide to jump through hoops or are beta testers, etc etc. Arena has, perhaps, been one of the best new free chess products over the last few years and I personally thank the authors for making that easily available to most users over the same time period. I think the "free" part is coming close to an end (just my opnion). Now let;s get back chess computers, computer chess and all that falls in between. Best, Michael Byrne
