I have played perhaps 500+ games at blitz time controls on my Amd3400+ with Junior8 vs Fritz 8.08, Junior never won a single match and infact Fritz crushed Junior in blitz time controls. However in longer time control these statics seemed to even out. For more proof of this look at the chessbase server for users with Fritz8 and Junior8 on equal hardware. You will discover Fritz is always higher rated. Why? Fritz 8 is a better blitz player. However it seems Junior9 has improved, probably due to Amir also noticing that trend, however, that it pure speculation, but maybe fact. Cheers~
