I guess I have to be a Leftist aspiring to be an Independant. As so many old
machines have some minor defect, often which does not preclude its practical use
and enjoyment, it would be a very severe Conservative that excluded them all.

Are all Savants defective? Would you include those only if they
had the factory standard defect?

Then there would be the Neo-Conservatives that see anyone else with a chess
computer as a threat and demand that they hand it over or else.

Sorry the temptation was too great.
