Dealing with members via email is an aspect of the moderator job, and I think it is reasonable that the manner in which the moderators operate is something that can be discussed if necessary. It has been admitted that that mail was bad, but rather than leaving it at that and moving on, here we are, in effect discussing whether the person who brought the bad email to our attention should be criticized or perhaps even punished for this. bruce
