First of all, dispite my pitifully low elo I concider myself a chess player. Business has never allowed me the time for tournaments.I chose business. So there it is.But my silicon buddies have always been by my side. The first;my buddy Chess Challenger 7.Then a blurr of buying and selling to upgrade and get the best available in my price range. Then came the software invasion.Very strong.Lots of features and options but it's aqward and no fun playing chess looking at a computer screen! I have just tried the DGT board which did not seem to work well with F8.023. The DGT has great looks and the pieces are sized and weighted just right. But a simple tournament size wooden board would do just as well when playing against software looking at a computer screen. I must say however that I depend heavily on chess software for Analysis After much reflection and inner pain I have now decided that only dedicated computers with tournement size boards will do.And preferably wooden boards. So my Grandmaster plastic board and Saitek Renaissance wooden board stays. The Chess Challenger7, Mephisto 68000xl, Saitek GK2100 and the Mephisto Exclusive 68000 Vancouver wooden board goes. My preference only..........Alain
