Despite the fact that Zappa appears to be stronger at longer timecontrols, I
would prefer the shorter timecontrol. If we were all in the same timezone I
wouldn't have any problem with a 14 hour tournament (that is 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM,
definitely doable) but when you consider that we have a timezone spread of 10
hours or so (thank god for the Pacific ocean and only a few Australian
competitors) my 8:00-10:00 becomes 5:00-7:00 West Coast, and 2:00AM - 4:00AM for
our European friends. Don't forget we already had people falling asleep on us
last year in Europe.

Another possibility: extend CCT to a friday which would make it 3 rounds per
day. We could then have even a 90 5 timecontrol with no particular problems
(and more suspense!). I don't mind taking a vacation day, but this may not go
over well with a lot of people. Anyway, I thought I'd offer it.

P.S. I definitely need a place to insert my cool new Zappa logo somewhere! (see
