Subject: Arena 1.1, pictures with DGT Clock XP as chess computer, show ELO ...

Hi there,

here you can see examples how Arena works with the DGT clock XP.

The goal is to use the clock not as clock :-)
Of course the clock with all the options will work fine in Arena but the goal is
to give the clock other information, like the evaluation from a chess program
(perhaps the most interesting information).

In this example I play vs. Gandalf 6.0 on the DGT board with the DGT clock XP.
On the clock you can see the evaluation from Gandalf 6.0 during the game /
analyzes by Gandalf 6.0. The clock need around 0.3 seconds to show the
evaluation from Gandalf. I believe faster isn't possible.

Just a great feature because if I play a game I will max. see the evaluation,
not other information because in this case I can look on my monitor.

In combination with the move announcements and Arena DGT support I can create
from more as 250 available chess programs the strongest chess computer.

Look on the picture!
You can see the ELO from Gandalf :-)

I config the DGT Board on my 2.67 Pentium IV Mobile Notebook. This notebook
don't have a serial port. I used an USB adapter from Sitecom.

I hope DGT will not read the mail because the clock have an other function but
why not. The system is a little bit to compare with the TascR30/40.

Have a lot of fun but unfortunately ... the problem is the strong Gandalf. I can
not win a game, at the moment 0.5 : 6.5 :-(

Best
Frank
