I recently discovered that tcl/tk 8.5 development version supports optionally xft. I recompiled Scid with new tcl/tk and got antialiased fonts working. Thought to share this knowledge. I made also some screenshots, look here: http://www.udu.ee/~kunnar/male/scid_antialias.html
