There is a much easier way to remove all commentary from a database. Using the
Chessbase interface, probably Chessbase Light will work also, just single click
on the database in question, go to "Tools/Database/Unannotate Database", and all
games will be cleaned of commentary.

Also there is a program called Pgn Extract that will remove commentary from
games in pgn format.
