No, it was not at 40 in one hour. PE runned in level 8, 30 seconds average
per move, Alexandra in level "40 moves in 30 minutes", so it had somewhat more
time, but not that much. I imagine in 40/2 hours Alexandra should perform lot
better as much in this fast level, in middle game, deep of search only reach 5
plys.
In my review I said not much, but to you I can say now that I am very impressed
because of the many features for the buck and in this case the bucks were few
due to the generosity of Steven S. There are trainning games with just pawns and
kings and things like that, openning trainning with the line you choose and
there are many of them, etc.
Of course there are also some bugs in the program. In another game that I did
interrupt, Alexandra played a Nelson-brand kind of move I did not see since
1980, say, cavalry from f6 to h5 to let room for f5. I took the chance for a
cheap combo beginning with BxPh and at the end of the sequence I won a full
pawn and great advantag e. Also, opennings are rather shallow AND the program
tends to be slow in his development.
Nevertheless, it knows how to disentangle and play OK.

The condecoration went smooth, jews here love me madly. I even made a joke. "I
was going to thank you in german, but someone said to me better not" I said,
with great laughter.
Hugs
Fernando
