Dear Michael,

Calling somebody a cheat in a game that is played for fun is an insult. I don't
think that it "rises to the level of an impeachable offense". It does not cause
economic loss. If a statement causes hard feelings that is bad because that is
how wars start. If someone implied that you cheated you stated that you would
take legal action. I find that silly.

In any case, where would you hold the trial? You are in Australia and most of
us on CCC are in the USA. Do you think that it would be worth hiring an
international law firm for such a trivial matter?

Chess is a substitute for actual aggression, however to play strong chess one
has to be very aggressive. Sometimes this aggression spills over into
accusations of cheating. I believe that Mr. G. Kasparov still thinks that the
Deep Blue team cheated and in fact has accused them of this. What does it
matter?
