For >what a reason ... a simple question each normal user can answer in selfwork Hello Frank, I normally do not respond to your posts but this is an unpleasant exception. You do realise that by responding here in this fashion you give the distinct impression that Olivier is a troublemaker? I am sure that was not your intention. Perhaps your self-confessed discomfort with the language (English) causes you to phrase your sentences somewhat clumsily. :-) Besises that, please realise that your gui - a really good one I might add - has flaws. All software does. Your response generally is not one to encourage feedback. Think about it for a moment. Users are consuming their time, energy and computer resources to use your gui. They are reporting problems. You are the net beneficiary of those comments, wherever they are made. Chessbase probably learns more about their software's shortcomings here than from e-mails because the power users of Chessbase gui seem to frequent this forum. Olivier has been a user and uabashed admirer of your gui. I suggest that you encourage instead of discourage. >The second step is to find out the bug! >And here we have a problem, no information about the bug :-) >No mails from other users about such a bug ... where are the 100.000 downloaders >with bug messages if Arena don't work :-) I have a few bugs I have found but guess what, the abuse, innuendo and name calling is not worth it. > >I don't like negative publicity, don't support it but of course the Arena GUI is >more and more popular and we have to say thanks to the problem makers :-) Do you see what I mean? Criticise Arena and you are a trouble-maker? Microsoft Windows is one of the most reviled pieces of operating software in history. Are the critics troublemakers? This >is what I cann't understand, trouble makers try to make troubles with the result >that our GUI is more popular. This I wrote in the latest six years five trouble >makers by mail and four of the trouble makers send as answer "Arschloch". :-)) There you go again with the names. Was Olivier one of the troublemakers? Should the answer be no then of what relevance is this comment? >At the moment I don't have such bug reports but after the >knowledge I have is all possible because ... the GUI is too complex. The reason >that Martin Blume have in the latest year the biggest interest to find out the >bugs. Where are the persons in the latest year which reported after the release >bugs, never read in mails or our fora? Keep in mind that there are more users of Arena than there are persons registered on your forum. I certainly am not going to register. I am unsure that sending reports to you or your support team would be greeted with clinical detachment based on your answers here. You therefore inhibit the very thing you need to egt in order to improve Arena. > >Of each good questions we can give a good answer :-) > >And yes: >We can speak about the "bug" if the programmer made a mistake. >But if the programmer have an other opinion we cann't speak about a bug. >A lot of users have to learn it! No Frank, we do not *have* to do anything. Think about it. Later.
