Where did you come up with this legal nonsense?

Yes, a person could sue over just about anything these days, however, the ICC
and fics bylaws state that any person can be automatically removed if it is
suspected (not determined, but suspected) that they are cheating. When you sign
up with the service, you agree to their bylaws (just like by going to a doctor's
office, you agree by default to pay for his service, regardless of how bad they
may be).

The effort would not be worth it. Granted, in this case, an individual would be
suing an individual (the poster of the message) as opposed to ICC or fics,
however, it wouldn't take much to throw the case out of court (in fact it would
probably never get there in the first place). If you are talking about someone
suing CCC due to the posting of a message here, that also seems extremely
unlikely.

Your point that people here on this message board (including, but not limited to
moderators) should not be stating the handles of suspected cheaters here may be
valid (or may not, it is open to debate). Personally, I agree with you on that.
It's not necessary.

However, it seems extremely unlikely that any legal action would ever take place
(trust me, I've been sucked into 3 such actions and they are never worth it, all
they are is misery for everyone involved except the lawyers who get wealthy).

KarinsDad :)

PS. If it ever went to a court of law, it really wouldn't be that tough to prove
that someone is cheating. Most of the cheaters are WAY weaker in playing ability
than the programs that they are using and the games that they played on ICC or
fics could be used against them.
