Are there any computers that you would classify as historical >>based on design flaws? the fairly recent Excalibur Touch Chess LCD Portable the first ones released had the very nice flaw of being able to move Bishops and Knights any where you wanted the program when considering its move would of course only calculate legal moves for the humans reply,but the player could spirit the piece any where they wanted and the computer would accept the move i cannot tell you how many "Brilliant" attacking victories i have had with this computer the bug was removed in later releases also the Saitek/Mephisto Cosmic LCD portable will refuse to Castle under almost any circumstance also makes for brilliant "Morphy " like attacks by the human player i think this was resolved in later releases as well Steve
