The focus is a property of windows objects (forms, text boxes, buttons) that means that object is selected. For example, if you click TAB in a window with many text boxes, the focus goes to each of them with every TAB. When he says Arena grabs the focus he means it gets to front, and is ready for you to send keys to it. If it is minimized, it gets maximized. I've experienced this also. When I run nunn-like matches (starting position is not standard, but every game Arena reads the starting position from a file with FENs), it grabs the focus every new game. I informed Frank in the past, with many details (that's why I have not repeated it here anymore) that this focus thing seems to be related to the crashes I experience. José C.
