J9 has gained much strength compared with J8 in Blitz games. In fact, i thinks
much much faster and did no longer loose games by time in quite winning
positions.
Compared with the other engines i made these tests: each time 20 games match of
3mn per engine, using 10 testset positions composed of openings reached at least
after 5-6 moves, Learning function set Off for the Shredder's: Here are the
results (by far much more better than J8), but i think that testing it in longer
time controls like 3mn + 2s or more will enhance his performance:

J9 - Sh8: 8,5 - 11,5
J9 - Sh7.04_Haddad1.2DP2 Setting: 7,5 - 12,5
J9 - DF8 : 11 - 9
J9 - DF7 : 12 - 8
J9 - Fritz in Bahrein : 12,5 - 7,5
J9 - Fritz 8 Bilbao : 7,5 - 12,5

These results are quite representative of the strength of the new J9 engine. I
tested the 9.0.1 version. I was really impressed by his attacking skills. It's
the most aggressive engine i ever saw. In each of the matches played there were
at most 30% of the games that ended with draws due to extremely edged positions.
but i still find that Junior 9 has a lot to do in the endings. In his matches vs
the Shredder engines he found extreme difficulties to hold on. but he succeed to
save some points due to the fast time control.
The only match were there was more than 60% draws was against my Shredder 7.04
with Haddad1.2DP2 Setting. My baby is still among the best engines. He wins all
his mini-matches of 20 games except against his brother Shredder8 who's the only
capable of beating him in 20 games or more matches.
