EK,

Get the 550 watt power supply. This is the peak power that the device will pump
out. It will last longer than a 300 watt unit if you are pulling over 275 watts.
It is only another $50.00 USD. Don't skimp!

PS A larger power supply will not use the full amount of its output but like a
larger motor will be able to deliver more power without burning out.
