The bank transfer system on mainland Europe seems fast, secure and remarkably free of charges. It is the same I think in Holland, France, Switzerland etc. No wonder they like that method of payment. They always express surprise when I explain that a direct transfer is expensive and complicated between England and Germany. Probably some of them don't quite believe me. Regular Ebay traders will sometimes have a Paypal account hidden in the background. They pay 3-4% charges in all including a currency exchange fee. I have even persuaded one or two people to open a Paypal account. Not easy in German :) There is an alternative, which is sending cash by post. This can go horribly wrong. But why am I telling you all this? You will only bid more against me in Europe :( Hope you have a very Happy Christmas Ismenio Mike
