He used to use a 8 bit 6502 running at 1MHz as a benchmark and called this 1CMHz. A 16bit 68000 processor was rated at 0.6CMHz (a 6502 was particularly suited to chess). Therefore a Berlin running on a 68000 at 12MHz = 7.2CMHz. A 68020 was rated at 1CMHz therefore a Berlin/London Pro at 24MHz = 24CMHz. A 68030 was rated at 1.25CMHz therefore a 68030/33MHz = 33 x 1.25= 41.25CMHz so would in theory nearly twice as fast as a 68020/24. I have yet to test this in practice but I can let you know how I get on. Best regards Clive
