Certainly we would have appreciated a chance to explain - if possible - the reasons that certain decisions were taken. I think that route would have been preferred to this but Uri is of course free to post anything and *anywhere* he likes. In fact, in direct contradiction to his post, we have absolutely no intention of banning anyone merely for being members of other fora. What you do with your life is your business. In fact how we would we know? Why would we care? We have no intention of banning anyone who respects our rules, particularly not Uri who is one of the best known and respected members of the computerchess fraternity. Uri, we have much better things to do than to hunt down members of other fora and ban them. Taken to the logical (illogical) end, the authors of the engines affiliated with the gui would have to be banned. Then a massive witch hunt would be launched for all persons who are members of that other forum. Wow. Sorry to disappoint Uri - and anyone else - but I have neither the time nor interest to engage in any of that activity. I am far too lazy for one thing... :-) The other moderators are too busy with other stuff. They are also lazier than I am..... Uri's post is unfortunately inaccurate in its interpretation - precisely why an e-mail would have been appreciated before all of this ruckus. Not to say that excitement is a bad thing or unwelcome. :-o Later.
