I don't see how that could be the conclusion since he is the owner of the site.
In my opinion the only logical conclusion was that he meant when the site was
gone. After all, he has alluded a number of times on when other sites were gone
for good. I think it's more of the same agenda.

Actually, I also thought he was English at first, due to his name and his
reasonable English. Sure, he made mistakes, and has that really bad habit of
putting "...." everywhere, but I've seen plenty of English speakers show
incompetence with their language by writing with no punctuation, bad spelling
(ex: noone), creative spelling (UR program), and strutural/grammatical issues.
Anyhow, it honestly took me more than a few posts to realize he was probably
German.

Although I do understand your point, I disagree with it here. Let's suppose I'm
having guests over to my house to discuss computer chess as we regularly do. If
one of them I invited declaredly doesn't like me for any number of reasons, I
won't care much and they are still welcome as they come for the computer chess.
However, if one of them has taken action to have me evicted from my house and
the house torn down (a key difference), they'll have to find some other place to
discuss computer chess as they are no longer welcome.
