Yes, I think I understand your point. But many people here seem to magically use
a similar terminoligy. I'd guess that "fully informed moves" sounds rather
strange to many. You used "cache" when others use transposition tables/hash
tables. Sure, I can understand cache. But when read in such a context, it is a
bit confusing. Perhaps I am alone.

But using common terminoligy (is this an English word?) will help in
communication. Similar problem in your answer today in the CSS Forum. I am
onvinced“, that the PV is practically free in typical alpha-beta (like) search.
You seem to mean something very different. BTW. Fabien showed the PV thing for
MTD, where all searches are with zero window.
