No.

When you follow my directions the account will be active now and will extend
until the completion of CCT7.

If you are the author that will be operating the account, the account will
become a permanent free account.

I believe this is done so when the next CCT comes around, you are not having to
re-register a nickname for your engine. You would automatically have an account
to join.
