Dear Matt, Thanks buddy for your thoughts and help. Nope, I'm too ignorant regardinging computers to actually build one, or to add any peripheral devices. Instead, my old hard-drive crashed a couple months ago so I bought a new one. My neighbor then installed the hard-drive as the "master" and made the old one a "slave." He did this, on the off-hand chance that I may need to subsequently move data from the old HD to the new one. But after 2-months, I think the slave can be discarded now. Having 2-HD's shouldn't cause a power failure should it? All the very best, Stephen
