That just might be the problem. Ever since I've owned the computer (about 4-years), it often made "groaning" sounds when starting. I assumed that the fan had a bad ball-bearing or something. But when I held my hand near the exhaust, I felt warm air being expelled, so I assumed that the fan was working properly, but just sometimes noisy. The "groaning" would often stop after a minute or so. Also, I've never seen performance problems, and this problem is a first for me. Tudo de bom! Stephen
