Hi, I've been running DJ9 on the playchess.com server. I was using what I believe is the latest GUI, dated 23rd Dec (? sorry, now uninstalled). DJ9 appeared to work fine with this setup. However, I then wanted to switch to the Shredder 8 engine, but still using the same GUI. But in one game I noticed that S8 was calculating in a 5 piece EGTB position. So, I later tested with KP vs K, and S8 still calculated. DF8 was similar. In fact, I could only get DJ9 to access the EGTBs successfully. I checked the paths and contents to my EGTBs - everything is ok. The fact that DJ9 could see them verifies this anyway. But why have my other engines stopped working in this respect? They worked fine prior to updating the GUI for DJ9. I've now uninstalled DJ9, and without having to do anything else, the EGTBs are working fine again for S8 and DF8. Is this another GUI issue? I've noticed that the latest GUI has now got a "Load on startup" check box in the dialog box for the EGTB settings. I tried both checking and unchecking this as part of my attempt to fix the issue, but no success. Gordon
