Thanks hmmm - that feature seems to broken in Crafty Classic. Crafty Classic will run slower nps than normal Crafty if the normal Crafty was complied with Futility option off. Futility option "on" by itself makes Crafty stronger. Slower nps could result in lower adpative hash. Other possible causes of slower nps would include using an AMD processor. The critical component of whether Crafty Classic is stronger, is how well it plays and not nps. In the past, I was very hard pressed to make any version of Crafty stronger than the original version and usually did not succeed.
