As far as I know, there are only two variations of Shredder:  (1) The Chessbase
version and (2) The version used in tournaments by the author which is the
Classical GUI interface version with the optimized opening book.

I don't know if you can run the chessbase engine of Shredder in the Classical
interface.  I never tried as I have both editions.
