If we're all zombies (Or ghosts) then I need to change the way I define "Death" [Not human death]) > >no no >far far more interesting are the Cyborg dedicated chess computer's Well, I saw a video of one of those Cyborgs moving the pieces... I don't speak German, but I think I figured out how it works: The Cyborg scans the board after he moves (Or scans the starting position) to have an idea of what's going on. Then you move. Then the cyborg scans the board again and compares the scans to know what piece you moved. Then it asks the engine if the move you imput is legal. If it is it starts to think out it's move. After being sure of what piece to move, it calculates what pieces are obstructing the piece to move and how to avoid them. After calculating this, it moves the obstructing pieces so the piece to move can move to position (Err... Ok, this may only happen with the Knight, but there are two!), it moves the piece to new position. It moves the obstructing piece to where it belongs. It scans the board again to be able to know your next move and the process starts again. Too slow for my taste, I like much more those in where you press the square of the piece you are going to move and the target square, then the engine cogitates and anwswer with the coordinates of the piece it moves, then you press the piece square and the target square. It's way faster! Ok, so this Cyborg can't move its pieces, but the point is playing chess! I still like even more Computer software (Mainly because I seem to be better while playing on my monitor dragin'dropin' the pieces... Yesterday I beat a 2100 rated player that blundered in a tourney! Now, that's what chess is about :) Since I just make two clicks per move and the computer moves, the fastest way to fight a computer ;) Please tell me in what I'm wrong, because you make Cyborgs sound like something spectacular I fail to see :( Read ya soon.
