I was just to excited to see J9, so I borrowed hers. My "bad" computer had subsequent problems to those already mentioned here, but I think I've fixed them now. I'm an expert on BIOS now (;-) )and noticed that my old AMD cpu was hot (over 180F) and later saw that the cpu's main fan had died. I attribute the frequent crashes and the computer's unwanted reboots to this. So I bought a new cpu fan and heat sink. But, I was told by the manufacturer that removal of the heat sink on my machine is delicate and difficult. So I just screwed the new fan into the existing heat sink, but it too appeared dead. Since I knew that the new fan should be "good", I then questioned the plug-in. The manufacturer then located another spot on the motherboard to plug the fan into. Now the machine seems to work well, and is quiter too! All the best, Stephen
