It is sold with the ChessBase Package. The upgrade is to purchase Shredder Classic [www.shredderchess.com] which is the native GUI for Shredder. Along with this package is an optimize opening book for S8. I have found S8 to play stonger in the Classic GUI and using the optimized opening book. Rich
