Actually I was talking about you. My perception is that you are very intelligent
and could play brilliant chess. Time to head back to the books.

Maybe improbable, but certainly not impossible. There would have to be rules
involved such as:

1) You must make at least 3 computer moves in a row.
2) You must cover up the screen so that you do not see future moves of the
computer (and hence be influenced by them).
3) You must make the best move the computer finds after at least 30 seconds.
4) You must play at least x number of games in the tournament.

Rules to this effect would be required.

Maybe, maybe not. I do not need to be the one (or only one) playing the games.
Someone else who is interested could do so and you could use more exacting
controls on such a tournament.

How can you not trust me? You make judgements on people every day of your life.
Trust is earned. Someday way in the future (if we both stay on this message
board), you will either trust me, or you will not. Possibly tomorrow.

Yes, this is true. I was born wily.

The intent of my post is to determine whether a set of individual moves could be
determined as "from a computer". A wily person could make the second best or
third best move, especially in rather dull positions to throw off the scent.
That's why you would need controls in a test of this nature (and it still may be
subjective, but it may also be fun).

Speaking of cracking chess books, it's time I started again :) :)
