Thanks for your helps on this.
Some comments on HIARCS. Of the three Palm programs HIARCS is my chosen one.
Those who use Palm know that finding a game from a database is not quite as easy
as on a PC but I find HIARCS the easiest in this respect. I'm not a strong
player but I do have a win against Tiger and a draw against HIARCS! In reality I
think a human with a 2400 rating would beat me every time. This just
demonstrates to me the problems that are encountered when trying to obtain a
figure for a machine. When looking at our games I use HIARCS and sometimes
Genius for pawn endgames. Most chess players would be happy with any of the
three. Today we tried HIARCS on KBN vs K and it beat us in 26 moves. Also when I
encountered one or two problems when HIARCS first arrived Mr. Uniac e-mailed
within minutes - and this at about midnight. I can't fault the service.

Don't forget Pocket PC. I have a Toshiba with Chess Partner and Genius. I've
imported databases of thousands of games on this thing. I've still not quite
made up my mind which I like best. Sometimes I take both with me just to be
sure. Just make sure there's a memory card inside.
