Had a student here overclocking his machine. He ran it for 6 months with (apparently) zero problems. He was working on a big 'data mining' program and when he made a long run it would crash with a 'segmentation' fault. He debugged for several weeks. Finally he asked if he could run it on one of my machines in the lab. I said sure. Ran perfectly. He went back to a non-overclocked setting on his machine, it ran perfectly. I don't want to deal with that kind of problem, personally...
