My MB GM cost me around $200, though it's a "barebone" system without the dust cover and the original package :( I did pay more for my MB Phantom but that's still my favorite as I have everything - the boxes, manual and even the original warranty card - hmmmm... I think it's time I send it :) Let me know your source for these findings Steve ;) I think we also have to consider the new generation. People who may not have heard of them when they came out. How many "toys" that are over 20 years old, still cause people to be amazed? So there must be people with a lot of money and just so wanting to have one that I can see how someone would pay $1000 for one. If someone hears about them today, first time, they may reason "Hmmm... let's check eBay. Wow, only two listed? They must be hard to find! I'll pay whatever I have to, to get one!" d2d4 Regards, Ismenio
