I don't know where Slate has been, but I'm sure if he were around, Pro Deo would play. Perhaps Ed would even consider allowing someone else to play -- I highly doubt Ed has any such "fear" you speak of. ChessTiger has never played at a CCT event. Nothing to do with fear at all, in my opinion. I don't think Christophe has ever been completely fond of the online format. Gandalf has played in the past (CCT4) and it was Gandalf 5 that played, so the argument of not playing after they went commercial is bogus. But knowing what I know of their team -- fear plays no roll. Ruffian -- no clue. But I don't ever remember an early joining in any of the CCTs Shredder -- Stefan is still working on S9 and just like last year, the event is close enough to Paderborn, it makes it a bit uncomfortable (my opinion here.) I exchanged and email with him last year, before CCT6 and he had early plans to operate Shredder himself and as the event came closer, became increasingly busy and was unable to. Junior -- Ever since Amir's M-Systems email address quit working I have lost touch with him. So, no speculation here. However, Amir is the LAST on my list of author's to make a decision to join or not based upon fear of a loss. Hiarcs -- We are undecided at this time. (Hint: It would be an easier decision to make if other commercials wanted to come out and play.) :) -elc.
