Here is another way to limit a program's strength and take it out of the book as well. Set up the initial position and take away the program's right to castle. That way you both get equal material but there is a significant advantage for you in taking away the other side's right to castle. I would estimate it to be around .75 of a pawn or equivalent to giving a GM an 82% score against an equally rated GM. We need tests on this for both comp-comp matches and comp-human matches. -- Komputer Korner
