Here is Kurt's advice which has satisfied others in your position: When updating the patch in the usual ChessBase folder you will have the latest but probably still buggy GUI (ChessProgam8.exe). Instead you should have installed Junior9 from CD to a folder of your choice, download and install the J9002 patch, then copy the Junior9.eng and jr_90.dll to the usual ChessBase folder "Engines" and afterwards deinstall your Junior9. If doing so, you can run Junior 9 under a proberly working (old) GUI. Kurt
