You should lead the way! :) I imagine that the pros thought the first crafty win was a fluke. The past two CCT's were won by amateur programs (IIRC). I am guessing we have seen the last of the professional entries in the contest. Keeping all the WMCCCs in Europe has effectively kept programs like Ferret and Crafty away. Beating up the pros has done the same for the online contest. Why will they come and compete if they think that they might lose to a freeware program? It won't do anything positive for sales and it might do something negative (if -- for instance -- Mark Weeks got hold of it.). So the European championship will continue to be won by the professional programs (unless Fruit decides to show up and makes a few more improvements) and the online championship will be won by the amateur programs.
