One important thing about running these problems - make sure you clear the hash before each run! When I run these problems after one of them has been run, the solution time is essentially zero. The reason is that, after the key move, both problems are identical, so all the positions in the hash table are pertinent, and it takes essentially zero time to solve either problem. Luckily, the first time I approached this, I cycled through all my engines on the first problem, then all the engines on the second, so hash was cleared. However, this was by good luck, not good management. -Richard
