Hi Steve, > i object to looking at a PC screen and using a mouse etc.etc to play chess.i >think it is not a normal way to play chess and interrupts my enjoyment of the >game > >only the old dedicated computers can simulate the normal way to play chess for >me > >with the Tasc computers you have much information all at your fingertips and no >need for the dreaded PC screen,no mouse,no 2d representation of a chess >board,etc.etc. what would you think about a Pocket PC connected to a Novag Universal Chessboard ? The Novag Universal Chessboard has leds that allow you to concentrate on the board. And the Pocket PC could run Crafty Classic 2004 in a new GUI, without displaying a tiny 2D board but two huge clocks and some additional information yet to be defined (best line, evaluation, etc...) It would definitely not be a dedicated chess computer but could bring a closer experience than the DGT with has no output capability. Best Alain
