You would not get true representations of games since one sides king will always be in the middle. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be fun or even instructive (learning how to attack an opponent who didn't castle) to play games of this nature. It's just that it isn't real chess. Comp-comp matches could at best reinforce the guideline that it's often good to castle early, but would have little other meaning. KarinsDad
