For basic stuff. They are the same. (but if you want only basic, get Scid for free) For advanced stuff. THey just cannot be compared. CB is just to primitive. For serious analysis and chess tools CA is just much better. The BGA tool (background analysis) , The autoanalysis tool (not the simple autoanalysis seen in Fritz and CB) , The classifiers system, The opening tables system... and the tree. i forgot the tree whitch CA users take for granted but there is no tree till CB8. (and the tree got better in CA8) You cannot use Fritz and Junior in CA but i assure you this is no problem. Use Shredder, Tiger and maybe Gandalf . You dont want another program.
