Gerold,

Here is a list of components I think that are best for me. I have done research
thoroughly by reading many articles in the Tom's Hardware Guide, PC magazine,
Anandtech, AMD, various forums and more.

Processor: AMD ATHLON_64_3500-939-BOX 90nm Winchester core
[Higher end cpu are very expensive and do not have 90nm Winchester yet.]

Motherboard: MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM (7025) - nForce3 250 (or nVidia nForce3
Ultra) 939 Chipset - ATX - 5*PCI - Gigabit LAN - Dual channel DDR 400 - SATA,
1394, Sound, RAID
[The mainboard is excellent for multimedia, including 3D games. For more info
about it click below:
http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=K8N_Neo2_Platinum&class=mb]

Memory chip: Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2 - 1024MB (1GB) (2*512MB) PC-3200 400Mhz
DDR - CAS 2-3-3-6 T1 - Twinx package of XMS memories for 100% competability of
Dual channel memories
[AMD and Corsair recommend both memory chips and motherboard and they work fine
with each other. Also, the memory chips, 2.5-3-3-6 for AMD, are good low
latency. Very low latency memory chips such 2-2-2-5 are quite expensive and run
best with heavy multitasking.]

Case: XASER-3-V1000A - Thermaltake Xaser 3 V1000A\Record and adjust pre-setting
Temp.\Temp. Alarm Function\°C / °F display switch\4 channel adjustable fan speed
knob\Thermaltake elegant E-LED blue light in front panel\All aluminum front
panel\Two-way lock in front panel\2 USB2.0 and IEEE 1394 firewire\Mic x 1 and
Speaker x 1\Power supply is not included with the case

Power Supply: TT-W0008RI - Thermaltake - Silent Purepower 420W (W0008) - Active
PFC
[I think 420W is sufficient even if a computer has high end graphic card.]

Hard drive: 6Y200M0 - Maxtor 200 GB 7200 RPM SATA 8MB Cache - DiamondMax Plus 9
family
[Maxtor is better and faster than Western Digital.]

Diskette Drive: FD235HF - TEAC FLOPPY DISK DRIVE 3.5 1.44

DVD: NEC ND-3500A - *16 DVD writer DVD-+RW - DVD-+R - Dual Layer OEM (Recommend
to use Nero 6.3 or above of the burning software)
[I learned that some members from other forums wrote that they are satisfied
with NEC DVD device.]

Video Card: Albatron AGP6600GT - 128 MB DDR3 AGP *8 - GeForce FX 6600GT - DVI -
TV OUT - Retail

CRT Monitor: Viewsonic G90F-B - 19 FLAT 0.21 1920x1440 (1280X1024 89HZ) TCO99
[I prefer 19" CRT monitor, because I am still not satisfied with LCD. LCD have
never been as good as CRT monitor, they have some advantages and disadvantages
though. However, if you use your computer for playing two dimension chess board,
writing letters with Word, surfing the Internet and the like, then LCD is okay
for you.]

Modem: Creative ModemBlaster - 56.6k PCI modem Blaster - Soft modem - voice
answering machine V.90

Keyboad & mouse device: S51-00001 - Microsoft® Wireless Optical Desktop Elite -
Wireless Keyboard and Wireless Optical mouse - Retail kit

Operating System: Microsoft EN-E85-00993-WINXPPRO - WINDOWS XP PRO OEM - ENGLISH

Hope that above won't make bottle necks. Perhaps K8T800Pro chipset runs a little
better bandwidth than nVidia nForce3 but I am not sure.

Take care,
Eran Karu
